Attributed to Charles Shirreff (Scottish circa 1750-circa 1809) Portrait miniature of a Gentleman, wearing a blue coat with white stock, miniature on ivory, contained in a gold and seed pearl set frame with braided hair to the reverse, 6.5 x 5.2cm (Exemption Ref 72GJLUFK)
Overall condition is good. The ivory panel appears to be flat and without splits or cracks. The paint is in good order but the blue coat is slightly faded. The hair and pearl set frame are in good order with no signs of damage or restoration.
